Job Overview

Position Objective

The Site Engineer will provide technical and construction supervision support for various infrastructure projects managed by UNOPS. The selected candidate will work closely with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure quality construction and compliance with approved engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision

• Supervise infrastructure construction activities at assigned project sites
• Ensure construction work follows approved drawings, specifications, and standards
• Monitor construction quality and safety compliance
• Support contractors in implementing safe construction practices

Technical Support

• Provide engineering advice to contractors and workers
• Coordinate site testing and quality control activities
• Recommend design modifications when necessary due to field conditions
• Assist in resolving technical site issues

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare daily site journals and monitoring records
• Submit weekly and monthly progress reports
• Verify work measurements for payment certificates
• Maintain construction documentation and records

Quality Assurance

Required Qualifications

Education
