Founded in 1997, SEBAC Nepal is a well-established NGO working across Nepal in multiple development sectors such as:


  • Public health and nutrition
  • Agriculture and livelihood

  • Disaster risk reduction and climate change


Currently, SEBAC Nepal is implementing the SAFE-Girls Project in collaboration with Good Neighbors International Nepal, aiming to empower adolescent girls and young women.


Key Responsibilities of Gender Officer

1. Project Implementation

  • Lead SAFE-Girls project activities at the local level
  • Ensure timely and effective execution of project plans
  • Coordinate with local government for integration into policies

2. Community Engagement

  • Form adolescent girls’ groups and mentoring systems
  • Conduct awareness programs in schools and communities
  • Promote gender equality and rights

3. Training & Capacity Building

  • Organize training on leadership, gender transformation, and psychological support
  • Train youth leaders, volunteers, and stakeholders

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with municipalities, health institutions, and schools
  • Participate in coordination meetings and field visits

5. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Collect and manage project data
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
  • Document success stories and case studies

Eligibility Criteria


To apply for this position, candidates must meet one of the following:


Option 1:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Sociology, Gender Studies, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Option 2:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
  • Fluency in English and Nepali
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid two-wheeler driving license
