Job Summary
The Social Mobilizer will work under the Green Job Creation through Recycling and Upcycling in Pokhara (GCRU) Project, implemented in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme and Korea International Cooperation Agency.
The role involves field-level implementation of project activities, community awareness on waste management, and support to recycling and upcycling groups.
Key Responsibilities
Community Mobilization:
Mobilize community members to participate in awareness programs, clean-up campaigns, and training sessions
Conduct awareness activities on waste segregation, recycling, and environmental practices
Identify and support participants for skill development training programs
Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement:
Coordinate with ward offices, community groups, and local stakeholders
Ensure inclusion of women, Dalit, Janajati, and marginalized groups in project activities
Support local recycling and upcycling initiatives
Monitoring and Support:
Conduct regular field visits and mentoring sessions
Monitor activities and collect field-level data
Document success stories, challenges, and progress
Logistics and Documentation:
Assist in organizing training programs and field activities
Maintain reports, meeting records, and documentation
Support feedback and complaint mechanisms within communities
Required Qualifications
Education:
Minimum SEE/SLC completed
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization or related work
Required Skills
Understanding of waste management and recycling concepts
Training and facilitation skills
Strong communication and coordination ability
Ability to collect and report field data
Knowledge of local community dynamics in Pokhara
