Job Summary

The Project Officer will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of programs related to youth engagement and private sector collaboration. The role acts as a bridge between youth networks, private companies, government institutions, and civil society organizations.

The position involves both office-based work and travel to project areas across Nepal.

Key Responsibilities

Private Sector Engagement:
Support the development of strategies for engaging private sector partners
Promote youth-focused enterprises and green business opportunities
Facilitate collaboration between businesses and youth initiatives
Assist in designing programs and partnerships

Youth Engagement and Advocacy:
Support formation and strengthening of youth networks and clubs
Facilitate youth leadership and participation in development programs
Organize advocacy campaigns and promote youth voices in decision-making
Document trends, challenges, and opportunities related to youth participation

Program Implementation:
Contribute to program planning, workplans, and strategy development
Organize events such as innovation fairs, bootcamps, and business competitions
Prepare reports, documentation, and case studies

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning:
Support monitoring systems and performance indicators
Conduct evaluations and document lessons learned
Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning platforms

Community Mobilization and Data Collection:
Engage youth networks and community groups
Support participatory research and data collection activities
Assist in evidence-based advocacy and policy engagement

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
Master’s degree is an advantage

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in youth engagement, advocacy, or development programs
Experience working with private sector or partnerships is preferred
Experience in training, mentoring, and research-based advocacy
