About Organization:
Voice of Children (VOC), established in 2000, is a non-governmental organization committed to protecting and advocating for the rights of children separated from their families, including street-connected children, sexually abused children, and other at-risk groups. VOC implements preventive initiatives against child sexual abuse, with a focus on sexual violence against boys and other child rights violations. The organization also strengthens the capacity of vulnerable families and collaborates with child protection stakeholders to reinforce local child protection mechanisms.
VOC is currently implementing the project “Stopping Cybercrime Against Children: More Safety and Protection on the Internet”, supported by KNH and BMZ Germany. The project invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and result-oriented Nepali citizens for a position based in Sunsari District.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and facilitate trainings, workshops, and orientations on Child Online Protection for child protection actors and service providers.
- Implement activities such as e-learning on child protection and awareness campaigns on Child Online Protection.
- Support the formation and strengthening of local-level Child Rights Committees at municipal and ward levels.
- Coordinate with service providers for the case management of children.
- Prepare activity plans and budgets, and implement them in coordination with like-minded organizations.
- Document and report project results and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with children, particularly in online child protection.
Skills: Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage effectively with child protection stakeholders.
Technical: Proficient in computer applications, including Nepali typing.
Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Nepali.
Knowledge: Good understanding of laws and policies related to child rights and protection.
Work style: Ability to work effectively in teams and flexibility to work irregular hours as needed.
