About Organization:
Sabal Nepal, a non-profit social development organization, is implementing the Shikshya Surakshya (ShiSu) Project with support from UMN. The project aims to strengthen quality education by empowering schools, communities, and ECD/BE facilitators in Hanumanagar Municipality of Saptari, Madhesh Province. Sabal Nepal invites applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens aged 18 to 40 for various positions under the project. These roles are based in the Saptari district and may be located in rural municipalities or municipalities as required by the project.
1. Project Coordinator
Available Seat: 1
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with I/NGOs and government, especially in the Terai region of Nepal.
- Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, or an equivalent degree from a recognized university, OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of program management experience.
- Solid working experience in child education.
- Knowledge and skills in rights-based approaches, GEDSI, DRR, nutrition, and addressing the special needs of children in this context are an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project locations and ability to work under high-pressure conditions.
- Ability to prepare technical reports in English reflecting challenges, learnings, and proposed solutions.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Nepali.
- Knowledge of local Terai languages (e.g., Maithili) is an added advantage.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license and ability to ride a motorcycle in rural environments.

Assignment:
Work Distribution: 30% office-based work, including coordination and reporting.
Fieldwork: 70% field-based activities, including supervision and backstopping.
Note: The distribution is subject to modification according to program requirements.
2. Community Mobiliser
Available Seats: 2
Required Qualifications:
Education: Intermediate degree or diploma in Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in community mobilization, social work, or grassroots-level engagement.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an understanding of community dynamics and inclusivity.

Safeguarding:
- The organization strictly adheres to its safeguarding policy at all times.
- The post holder will have frequent or intensive contact with children, young people, vulnerable communities, and stakeholders.
- This contact may occur because the staff work in country programs, visit program sites, or are responsible for implementing policies and participating in the police checking/vetting process.
