Job Overview
UNICEF Nepal is inviting applications from qualified and motivated Nepali professionals for the position of Digital Impact Officer (NO-A) based in Kathmandu. This is a six-month temporary appointment designed to strengthen UNICEF Nepal's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) function while supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
The selected candidate will provide leadership in ICT operations, manage digital infrastructure, supervise the ICT team, and collaborate with programme sections to implement innovative Technology for Development (T4D) solutions that improve programme delivery and create a greater impact for children across Nepal.

Key Responsibilities
The Digital Impact Officer will be responsible for:
- Managing UNICEF Nepal's ICT infrastructure, networks, telecommunications, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Ensuring reliable ICT service delivery, system maintenance, technical support, and business continuity.
- Strengthening cybersecurity, information security, and ICT risk management.
- Supporting the implementation of Technology for Development (T4D) initiatives and digital innovation projects.
- Providing leadership, supervision, mentoring, and technical guidance to ICT personnel.
- Collaborating with programme teams to develop digital solutions that improve programme effectiveness.
- Coordinating with government agencies, development partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders on ICT initiatives.
- Promoting innovation and digital transformation across UNICEF Nepal operations.
Required Qualifications
Education
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- At least one year of professional experience in ICT management and business operations within a large international organization or corporation.
- Previous work experience with a United Nations organization is required.
Required Skills
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Experience managing Wide Area Networks (WAN), including Meraki networks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows platforms and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and Microsoft Intune.
- Experience setting up and maintaining video conferencing systems such as Polycom.

Language Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Nepali is required.
