About Organization:
Progressive Youth Society (PYS) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-religious organization. It was registered with the District Administration Office, Bajhang on 29 March 2004, in accordance with the Social Welfare Act, 2034. Since its establishment, PYS has been actively engaged in various community development initiatives, reaching children, adolescents, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and survivors of conflict and disasters from marginalized and underprivileged communities.
In partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), PYS is currently implementing the Child Wellbeing and Integrated Development Project in Jayaprithvi Municipality and Kedarsyu Rural Municipality of Bajhang District.
To ensure the effective and smooth implementation of this project, PYS invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and motivated Nepali citizens for the positions of Education Officer and Case Management Assistant.
1. Education Officer
Required Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant discipline with at least three years of work experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of government training modules and packages, the TPD framework, national curriculum, and grade-wise objectives and competencies, with specific focus on literacy, school safety, and community-based advocacy.
- Ability to coordinate across field staff to develop, standardize, and ensure regular use of technical tools required for effective project implementation, including implementation guidelines, quality benchmarks, training materials, training curricula, IEC/BCC materials, and other resource tools.
- Good understanding of operational issues, including timely service delivery, effective planning, monitoring, and supervision.
- Sound knowledge and skills in project risk analysis and risk management.
2. Case Management Assistant
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
Secondary Education in Social Work, Sociology, Law, or related fields with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Law, or related fields with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experienc
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of child protection systems, survivor-centered approaches, and relevant child protection laws, policies, and referral mechanisms.
- Proven experience in capacity building for children, parents, caregivers, and community members, including community campaigns, CP case management, CIR reporting, and policy advocacy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Experience working directly with children and community groups, including facilitation of orientations and trainings.
- Strong background in child protection–related training design and facilitation.
- Experience in monthly budget forecasting, quarterly expense tracking, and financial review in coordination with project teams.
- Excellent report writing skills, particularly for semi-annual and annual reports.
- Proficiency in capacity assessment and training needs assessment, staff mentoring, and provision of on-site technical support.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
