About Organization:
BVS-Nepal is dedicated to improving the overall welfare of burn survivors through a comprehensive approach. We are excited to announce an opening for the role of Program Officer, who will be instrumental in assisting burn survivors. We seek an enthusiastic and committed individual to aid in their recovery and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing, coordinating, and carrying out project activities in accordance with donor requirements and organizational objectives.
- Help with the creation of comprehensive activity plans, financial plans, and logistical plans for fieldwork, training, and events.
- Work together with partners, field offices, and the project team to ensure that all planned activities are carried out on time and to a high standard.
- To guarantee that burn survivors receive the right support, stay in constant contact with beneficiaries, local stakeholders, hospitals, and rehabilitation facilities.
- Gather, confirm, and aggregate data and information from hospitals and field offices.
- Keep an eye on field operations to guarantee their efficacy, quality, and compliance with project goals.
- Create monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports that highlight important accomplishments, difficulties, and lessons discovered.
- Write case studies, success stories, and maintain data on a regular basis.
- assistance in creating budgets, concept notes, and project proposals for fresh funding opportunities.
- Keep an accurate database of the recipients.
- Contribute to developing advocacy materials, newsletters, and awareness content.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, hospitals, NGOs/INGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent BVS-Nepal in meetings, workshops, and coordination forums as assigned.
- Support in advocacy and awareness campaigns related to burn prevention, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
- Provide technical and logistical support during workshops, orientations, and review meetings.
- Make sure that bills, receipts, and other pertinent paperwork are sent to the finance department on time.
- Attend staff meetings on a regular basis and participate in organizational planning and reviews.
- Follow up with survivors on a regular basis to find out how they are doing and to give them the assistance they need to reintegrate.
- Complete any additional duties that the supervisor assigns.
Required Qualification:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in the social sciences or a similar discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Two years or more of professional experience in a related field.
- A thorough understanding of Nepal's administrative procedures and governmental structure, including the development sector.
- Demonstrated experience working with a variety of stakeholders, such as governmental bodies, civil society organizations, and service providers.
- Outstanding coordination, facilitation, and communication abilities.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and data management skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and simple design platforms (like Canva).
- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written Nepali and English.
- Compassionate, committed, team-focused, and eager to learn new things.
- Willingness to travel regularly for program activities and field trips.
